I graduated as a medical doctor at Semmelweis University Faculty of Medicine in 2001.
In 2001 I spent 6 months of my resident rotation at the Intensive Care Unit and the Department of Internal Medicine at St. Rókus Hospital.
During the following 4 years 2002 to 2006, I worked at the Department of Dermato-Venerology and Dermatooncology, Semmelweis University Faculty of Medicine. My day to day duties included inpatient care of a wide range of dermatological patients whose conditions ranged from general skin diseases to special cases with immunological, oncological, and surgical problems. I also participated in academic research, and regularly delivered case-presentations at regional and national dermatological meetings.
In 2007 I received my specialist degree in dermatology with first class honours.
Since its establishment I have been a co-worker at the STD Centre of the Department of Dermato-Venerology and Dermatooncology, Semmelweis University Faculty of Medicine. As an internationally acknowledged medical facility, the Centre provides an exceptional curriculum in sexually transmitted diseases. Since then I have been interested in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases effecting the genital region.
During 2007/2008 I practiced at the Körúti Orvosi Centrum, providing care for both STI and general dermatological patients (i.e. fungal infections of the skin and the nails, viral warts, eczema, psoriasis).
Subsequent to spending several months in the UK in 2008-2009 I have returned to Körúti Orvosi Centrum and the range of treatments I am involved in increased to include esthetical dermatology. As a part of this new specialty I carry out laser treatments.
As a clinical practitioner I try to optimize the treatment of my patients both by following the rules of evidence-based medicine and by taking into account individual needs.
I am a member of the Hungarian Dermatological Society and the Hungarian STD Society.
